I’m sure that as you’re shopping for some nice mattress pads, you would come across this mattress which was termed as “Memory Foam”. So what is this “memory form mattress”? Willl it help improve your mind?
Obviously not! Allow me tell you a little more regarding it.
Memory form is a type of foam that was created by Research Center in NASA. The function of this foam is to protect the spacecraft by adding some cushion. Charles A. Yost, the contributing inventor of the foam also called it “temper foam”.
Slowly, this type of foam has gotten a few commercial attention. It was originally used in medical insitutions where they will help patients to recover. Before long, memory foam has opened to us. The application has been used in bed and even bags.
What makes this foam special is that it has higher density than other foam mattresses. That is why they could take in sudden shock. You may have seen people dropping an egg of this foam and it doesn’t break.
I have personally tested such mattresses in the stores. According to the saleperson, there are 2 groups of people when it comes to these mattresses: One group that loves it and one group that hates it.
I’m the one who love such mattresses but my wife hates it. When I tried it, it feels very comfortable as the mattress will fit my body shape instantly. However, one thing about such mattress is that you will find it difficult to turn yourself when lying down. This is one thing that my wife doesn’t like.
One word of warning: Infants should never use memory foams. The reason is that infants will find it hard to turn their bodies due to it’s custom-fit properties. Leaving your infants on such mattress will multiply the risks of suffocation.
